Are 4 Season tents lightweight enough for backpacking?

If you shop, and pack appropriately, yes. When backpacking, the weight in your load means everything, but you can't sacrifice your sleep or well being on just weight alone. The average 4 Season tents weigh approximately 10lbs, but some can be as light as 5lbs or as heavy as 17lbs.

For the average person trekking through moderate winter conditions, a 10lb tent is not much of a sacrifice; but it'll take up a large portion of your pack. We recommend not bringing any tents weighing in at more than 10lbs unless you'll be sharing the load with another person.
