Chex Muddy Buddies · Recipe
Ingredients
9 Cups of Rice Chex®, Corn Chex®, or Chocolate Chex® Cereal (or a combination of them)
1 Cup of Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips
½ Cup of Peanut Butter
¼ Cup of Butter
1 Teaspoon of Vanilla
1 ½ Cups of Powdered Sugar
Instructions
• Into large bowl, measure cereal; set aside.
• In 1-quart microwaveable bowl, microwave chocolate chips, peanut butter and butter uncovered on high for 1 minute, and stir. Microwave about 30 seconds longer or until mixture can be stirred smooth. Stir in vanilla.
• Pour mixture over cereal, stirring until evenly coated. Pour into 2-gallon resealable food-storage plastic bag.
• Add powdered sugar. Seal bag; shake until well coated. Spread on waxed paper to cool. Store in airtight container in refrigerator.
Makes: 10 Cups

These are my son's favorite treat; since they're chalk full of sugar we try to make it a "once in a while" thing, but they taste so sinfully good it's always something that I can be talked into making.
